How do I book a Face to Face interpreter?

Once you have registered with us, you can access our Face to Face interpreting service the same way you access telephone interpreting. Simply call our call centre quoting your ID code and request a Face to Face interpreter. Your call with be transferred to the Face to Face department where booking details will be taken.


When is the service available?

Our Face to Face interpreters are available 24 hours a day, excluding public holidays. You can book interpreters at any time, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week by simply using the same number you use for telephone interpreting.


How do we book the same interpreter for a follow-up appointment?

You should contact us directly to book a follow-up session. Where possible we will provide the same Interpreter for follow up sessions


What happens if we need the interpreter for longer than the original duration?

We are happy to extend booking durations whenever required but this depends on the availability of your interpreter. Liaise directly with your interpreter. If it is possible for them to do so, they will stay as long as you require them.


What is the procedure if an interpreter is required at short notice?

Short notice bookings should follow the same procedure detailed above. Short notice bookings may require some degree of flexibility.


What should I do if I need to cancel an interpreter?

Please let us know as soon as possible if an interpretation booking needs to be cancelled, as cancellation charges may apply.


Can Language Line Services provide British Sign Language interpreters?

Yes, we are now able to provide British Sign Language interpreters.


Can we book Face to Face interpreters if our organisation is based outside London?

Our service currently covers the greater London area and selected regions across the UK and this is continually being extended. Check this website regularly for further updates on the availability of the service.
