Translator Quality

Only 8% of Translators meet our stringent recruitment criteria

Our Translators are language professionals who are rigorously tested by Language Line Services. As a minimum every Translator will have:
    
Membership of the International Institute of Translating and Interpreting (ITI), IoL, or other international linguistic organisations

• First or post graduate degree in Translation Studies
• First or post graduate degree in the relevant language
• At least three years of translations experience
• At least two references for previous projects
• Industry experience for the material they translate

In fact, only 8% of applicants are successful in their attempts to be recruited by Language Line Services. In addition, ongoing assessments mean that only those Linguists who consistently maintain high ratings remain in our network. Each Translator is experienced in specific sectors, ensuring a familiarity with the vocabulary and tone necessary for a translation that reads as if it were originally written in the target language.
