“Telephone Interpreting: A Comprehensive Guide to the Profession” is the brainchild of Kelly and more than a decade in the making. It was inspired in part by the years Kelly spent working with Language Line Services as an interpreter, from 1996 through 2001. A former Fulbright scholar, Kelly is known internationally for her research and presentations on topics of sociolinguistics, interpreter certification, cultural competence and interpreting quality.
